Good afternoon everyone,
I hope you had a good Christmas.
There have been no burglaries or robberies reported. A theft of motor vehicle took place in South Street on 26/12/2025 between 19:15 - 19:20 hours. A white Yamaha Scooter was stolen from South Street after the driver left his key in the ignition whilst collecting food.
If you have any information on this crime please contact police on 101.
On a different subject we have been made aware that an unknown person has been scamming residents claiming to be a ‘Traffic Warden’ or a very helpful individual. One happened in the car park of Lodge Farm park (Carlton Road entrance). The senior citizen was approached as they went to the parking meter. The suspect helped them to put the card into the machine and noted the pin number. The card did not eject and approximately £2,000 was taken from victims bank account.
A similar situation happened in Dolphin Approach. A Senior Citizen, who had a blue badge, was approached as they parked their car and were advised they were going to be issued a ticket. The suspect stated that they could pay for parking now and the ticket would be canceled. They were led to the same ticket machine in Lodge Farm Park and their card did not eject out of the machine. A similar amount of money was taken from their bank account. London Borough of Havering have been made aware of this machine.
Please remember if your card does not eject from any ticket machine/cash point before you leave the machine phone 159 on your mobile phone and you can be put through to any bank. You can place an stop on your card.
